Remember my last The Face Shop haul? I bought this Post-Acne Nighttime Spot Eraser that has been talked about :D. I've used it for almost two months now, and i think it's time to do a review about this spot eraser.
Description (on the box): Gentle brightening formula effectively fades post-acne marks
left: before, right: after 1 week.
note: don't bother the scar on the corner left bottom, it's a chickenpox scar. nasty I know...
My thought:
I guess the pic says it all. The spot eraser does work its job but not much. After one week, the post-acne scar is still there although it's almost gone. The scar on the pic was a new scar, and I notice that the spot eraser works much better on a new scar. When I applied it on my old acne scar, it took almost one month to actually fade it out. For some people, it works quickly but not for me. So you really have to try it out for yourself to know the effectiveness. I also notice that when I applied it on a pimple that was going to appear, the next day the pimple was gone. I think it doesn't just work on post-acne scar but pre-acne too :D. And the scent of this spot eraser is just like any other The Face Shop's product, it has a mild flower scent which I like.
Pros:
- Relatively affordable (around SGD 20 or USD 15)
- Fades/lighten acne scar
- Prevent acne
- Easily found (for me)
- Decent scent
Cons:
- Took quite a long time to fade the scar (esp. on an old scar)
- Hard to find (for some people)
Rating: 3.5/5
Repurchase: Probably Yes
Disclaimer: The product was purchased by me. I am not affiliated with the company I mentioned above. This is my honest opinion, product that works on me doesn't mean it works on you and vice versa.

I have this struff too :) Kindda still figuring how it works for me, not impressed actually. May be because my acnes are so "old" kindda. And you're right for "fresh" acnes it works much better! Wow! Seems like it overprice in your plase! I bought it for under $7 here
This product does sounds promising! I'm using juice beauty blemish serum, it's pretty good too but like this one. Work effortless on new scar but take much longer to see results on old scar.
that looks promising. I was using the Garnier spot treatment for a while and it did not work at all! I should try this...
Hey babe, thanks for the review! Interesting how it takes longer to work on old scars but is effective on pre-acne.
Hey Dina!
Wow I'm glad it works for you even if it takes a while for the scar to fade. I did try this too but it didn't work for me at all >.<
This product looks interesting.:D Thanks for sharing.:D

...and everything girly under the sun!
interesting product... tho my face cream does a pretty good job on post acne already! thanks for sharing :)
I've nearly used up my spot eraser and had the same results - it's much better on the newer scars, but barely did anything to some acne scars on my jaw that are 6 months old (combination of a prescription cream & other whitening lotions is starting to help though).
i am also still trying this product out (thanks hun!!!) :) same with you, I'm not sure if it's doing as much as I had hoped for me, but with all the skincare routine that i'm doing, i must be doing something right (not sure if it's the spot eraser, the serum, the clarisonic, or the neutrogena cream...or a combinations of the few), because my scars have been healing faster than before. So that's good as long as something is working haha, and the spot eraser did not cause me to break out and that's all it matters! :)
great review! i totally agree with you, it works well with post acne but not to old scars. how weird right? haha
have a good weekend dear!
I just got this a few days ago. I've been using it now for 3 nights, cant wait to see how it works for me. Thanks for the review, one of my scars is old also so now I know it will take a little longer. =)
this product I guess...didn't totally work on me...cuz' the only visible acne scar that I have right now....is the only blemish I've use this product on...total fail....glad it worked on you....I can see a lot of difference from the pictures...
Wow! I love the effect on before and after picture! Thank you for sharing.

Great and thorough review! I've also been eyeing this product after seeing it positively reviewed on several different blogs. It works but the results seem to take a long time. I suggest trying something with retinol to fade marks, I'm going to do a review on what I'm using soon.
wow! Glad the zits are turning better! I must definitely check out this product & Welcome to singapore! Hope u enjoyed ur stay
What an interesting product. I wish I could try it out but as you say, it's hard for some people to find The Face Shop :/ I'm finding that my acne scars are worse than they use to be and also takes a longer time to fade out than it use to when I was a teenager...oh getting old! :O lol thanks for sharing your review with us, Dina :)
Wow I see the difference from before and after. This sounds great! :)
Thank you for the birthday wish! :)
woo, is interesting.... need to get it for 2mens.... haha
Well, I do see an improvement in the pics, but as you say, everyone's skin is different and would react differently to products. :)
interesting! sucks that it takes awhile but hey, whatever works, works right?
