Review: Tea Related Masks

Thank you so much for all the congrats on my previous post. I'm really happy for my achievement, it's like a huge rock has been removed from me :D.
I was going to post this reviews post yesterday, but I went out with my friends the whole day for celebration. So, here are the two masks I'm going to review.

Watsons Green Tea Oil Control Facial Mask

Descriptions:

Watsons Green Tea Oil Control Facial Mask contains botanical extracts of Green Tea, Mushroom and Cucumber, which refresh tired and dull skin and improve overall skin texture to reveal skin's natural glow.

My thought:
I got this mask from my friend's sister who went to Taiwan a few months ago. I don't remember how much it was but it's definitely cheap. This mask is so wet that it's dripping when I took it out and looks almost transparent. It fits my face quite well and has a strong green tea scent but I'm okay with it. I left it on for about 30 minutes, and right after I peeled it off, it felt very sticky on my skin. But that stickiness disappeared after 5 minutes or so and my skin became smoother. The next morning, my skin was less oily. Guess that the oil control really works. The down side is I can't find this mask at here nor Google. I've only seen the Watsons Green Tea Essence Anti-Oxidant Facial Mask on google. I think this mask is only available at Taiwan but I might be wrong, please tell me if you know where to get this cause i like this mask :).

Pros:
Good oil control
Cheap
Smoothen skin

Cons:
Not available locally
Sticky
Strong scent

Rating: 3.5/5
Repurchase: Yes (But hard to find)

Superdrug Tea Tree Sensitive Mud Mask

Superdrug Tea Tree and Peppermint Mud Mask is specially formulated to deeply cleanse and purify pores, leaving skin feeling fresh and clean.

Tea Tree originates from Australia. It is a natural antibacterial agent, known for its antiseptic healing properties. Peppermint oil is renowned for its therapeutic effect on skin disorders and for its cooling sensation.

Tea Tree – The Natural solution for everyday skincare problems.

My thought:
When I saw that it's a tea tree product, I thought the color would be green but it turned out to be white. The tea tree scent is really strong but as I've used to use Tea Tree Oil, it doesn't bother me. I put it on for around 15 minutes and it felt slightly burning on my skin but the feeling was gone right after I rinsed it off. After rinsing, my skin felt really smooth and I could see that my pores became tighter/smaller. But the oil control was just okay cause my skin is still oily on the next morning. I really like this mud mask but too bad I can't find at here too, it's an UK product (I got this from Eve). The package contains 15mL of mud mask and it's enough for 3 uses on me. Overall, I really like this mask, will be searching around for this mask :D.

Pros:
Smoothen skin
Tighten pores
Relatively Cheap (£0.79)

Cons:
Not available locally
Strong scent
Slightly burning

Rating: 4.5/5
Repurchase: Yes! (But it's hard to find as well)

I love these two masks, but both of them are difficult to get. Guess that I won't be using these masks anytime soon... Anyhow, have a great weekend everyone!

A Tiny Haul

I'm back in Jakarta now! How's everyone's CNY and Valentine's day? Mine was great, had a lot of foods and got quite a handful Hong Baos :D. Didn't celebrate Valentine's day though. Anyway, before I was back in my hometown, I got myself a few things.

Shiseido Eyelash Curler, NYX Concealer in Jar, Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions Clarifying Lotion, Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions Clearing Moisturizer and Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions Clearing Concealer.

Remember that I got a set of SK-II skincare back in the October last year? I didn't review them because i think the miniature set that I got wasn't enough for me to feel the result. And they basically do nothing to me, I'm an impatient person and always want to see immediate result, so I gave up on them and decided to try a new skincare line. Although I saw a lot of mix reviews about Clinique products, I decided to try them and as my stubborn acne refuses to clear up, I got their Anti-Blemish Solutions line. Didn't get the cleanser because I want to finish my BeautyMaker Cleansing Gel first. I'll try to review them in about one or two months to see the result.

I also got a couple of concealers cause they are a must for me right now, to conceal my acne scar, blemishes and dark circle. I just wouldn't go out without them on. My skin is really bad now.

My thesis test/session (I don't know the right word) is on next thursday. I'm really nervous about it, hopefully I'll do it well. So I think I'm going to be MIA again for this one week. Will be around very soon :)

Have a great day!

Happy Chinese New Year & Valentine's Day!

I'm back in my hometown right now! Finally I manage to get a few days to be back at here. So excited about everything, esp. the Hong Bao (red envelope) :D. It's my main income of the year, haha... and I'm also ready to be stuffed with food now! CNY means lots of food right? *wink* Hope everyone has a great and prosperous New Year!

I'm not going to celebrate Valentine's Day though, CNY is much more important to me :D. But my bf and I agreed to celebrate it on other day, so it's cool too. Happy Valentine's Day to you all too! :)

Review: BeautyMaker Anti-Shine Deep Cleansing Foaming Gel

I got BeautyMaker Anti-Shine Deep Cleansing Foaming Gel from a swap with Karen (Sizbelle). I've been using this cleanser for one month and I think it's time to do a review for it.

Function (from http://www.payeasy.com.tw/BeautyMaker/ in Mandarin) :
Remove shine and prevent acne.

Who:
People with oily skin and need deep cleansing.

Ingredients:
My thought:
I was attracted to this product for what it claims, remove shine and prevent acne. It has a nice citrus scent which I like. Although it says it's a foaming gel, it doesn't really have any foam. When I first use it, I feel it doesn't cleanse my skin thoroughly cause it doesn't feel squeaky clean afterward and that makes me think that it doesn't deep cleanse. But after the second use, I begin to like it cause although my skin doesn't feel like squeaky clean, I can feel that there is no trace of oiliness on my skin anymore. So in this point, it does remove shine but... yeah, there is a but... my skin is still as oily as before, no oil control. But the bright side is it doesn't make me breakout. Guess the prevent acne function is good too although it doesn't clear my current acne. Overall, it's a pretty good cleanser but any cleanser will do the job too.

Pros:
- Affordable (TWD280=USD9)
- Remove Shine
- No breakout

Cons:
- Not available locally
- No oil control
- No deep cleansing

Rating: 3/5
Repurchase: No (like I said, any cleanser will do the job)

A Piece of Me... in February 2010

A game hosted by Shirley of Notes from the Toothfairy

This month....

I like: that I've submitted my thesis! No more lack of sleeping now... :D

I don't like: that I have to wait for the session! And not knowing whether I'll be able to go back to my hometown for CNY or not. It's really frustrating!

I want you to know: that I love you all! :) All the sweet and encouraging words to me make me feel really glad to know you all *hugs*

I've planned: to prepare my best for the session, it's for all the hard work (well, not really :D) I've been through for this 4 years. Fighting!

I want to say to someone special: I know I'm not good at expressing myself, but I hope you know that I feel really glad that you always be there for me when I need you even when you are busy. Love ya :)

NOTD
I've just tried this NYX Girls nail polish in Mocha Latte that I got from Mai. Please excuse my uneven application and ugly looking cuticles, I hardly take care of my nails :D. I really love the packaging with a sparkly diamante in the center. The picture doesn't really show the true color, in real life it looks copperish with gold shimmer in it. The color is quite pigmented with just one coat, but in this picture I applied two coats.

Have a great weekend :)

Tag! Tag! Tag!

I got tagged for this "Once upon a Time" tag by Zoe (who started this tag), Kasia, Dee, Nee, Amy, Joanna and PixyEla. Thanks girls!

The rules are:
1. Post a picture of your childhood (less than 13 yrs old).
2. Write about the picture.
3. Tag your friends and readers.

I'm not sure how old was I in this picture, maybe 2 or 3 yrs old. The hand on the doll next to me was my sister's, I cropped her out :D. I guess I was listening to the radio at that time. See how I posed? When I was looking at my childhood pictures, I saw that I posed like this a lot, the way I put my legs. Even when I was lying on the bed, my legs were like that too. That's definitely weird for a girl. And I guess it has became a habit of mine, cause I still do it now. Well, of course not when I'm outside. But I always find myself doing it when I'm at home :D

And "You are a doll" award was given to me by Zoe, Kasia and Joanna. Thanks!
RULES:
1. Remember to link back to the person who awarded you!
2. Select 5 more bloggers that you think are dolls and link them at the bottom.
3. Tell about a character from a book/movie/drama that you most like.
4. Post the picture and title on your blog permanently if you'd like.

pic source: http://www.allmoviephoto.com/
Anna Fitzgerald from My Sister's Keeper who played by Abigail Breslin
I didn't read the book, I watch the movie version. I'm really impressed that a girl would do anything for her sister, in this case, went to court to sue her parents. And although that she was brought into the world to be a genetic match for her older sister, she still love her sister unconditionally. It's really touching to see what she did for her sister that it makes me wonder if there's a person who will actually do this too.

Jordan tagged me for this photo tag, thanks Jordan :)
The rules of the Tag:
1. Open your 1st Photo folder.
2. Scroll to the 10th photo.
3. Post the photo and the story behind it.
4. Tag 5 or more people.

Being a food lover that I am, I took a lot of food pictures. So I'm not surprised that I got a food picture for this tag :D. I forgot what the name of this food that we had, but it was a fried chicken with lemon grass or something like that. The story behind this picture: it was my friend's birthday and she treated us at a Chinese restaurant. So we ordered three dishes, and waited. Two of the dishes were served and we'd almost finished all of our foods but still waiting for the last one which is the one in the picture. We kept asking the waiters about it, and they kept saying it was almost done. We almost wanted to cancel it but since the waiters seemed nice, we decided to wait for it. And totally, we waited for 45 minutes for this particular dish. That is why we all took this picture even though we didn't take any of the previous dishes. Luckily it was tasty or else we would be very furious about it. But I'm sure I won't order this again the next time.

CeeCile gave me an “I Frequently Read Your Blog” Award. Thank you so much :)

I also got this award from Onic. Thanks!the rule for this award is i should mention 10 things that can make me happy:
1. Graduating this year
2. Be with my family
3. Be with my bf
4. Talking to friend (read: Gossiping) :p
5. Travelling
6. Shopping
7. Sleeping
8. Having good food
9. Getting compliment :D
10. Blogging!

Finally I'm done with those tags. What an accomplishment :D
I don't know who has or hasn't done those tags, so I'll just tag everyone who hasn't done it! :)

Thanks for reading!

I Just Wanna Say...

I'm back now!!! Yay! I just handed my thesis today. And now all I have to do is just waiting for the test. I'm really nervous about it. It determines whether I'll be able to graduate this year or not. Just hope for the best!

I really wanna thanks all of you for all of the supports you'd given me. I was thinking to write a special thanks for you bloggers in my thesis, but if I do that, my friends will know that I have a blog which I still don't want them to know about. So, I'll just thank you from the bottom of my heart, hope you guys don't mind :)

I'd mentioned that I got a few love packages in my previous post. Actually I got them one month ago. But was too busy to post them. So, here we go...

First, a package from Mai, I was one of the winner of her giveaway.
I've got to try these e.l.f. mineral makeups now! I haven't tried them all yet, but I'm loving the Studio Powder Brush now. It gives a smoother finish for my setting powder. I'm also honored to own one of her jewelry. The earrings are really beautiful. Go check out her jewelry line here. Thanks Mai!

Next, a lovely package from Karen (miss kyou), I was one of the winner of her giveaway too...
I may sound lame, but this is my first MAC lipstick! It's in Viva Glam V, a really pretty neutral pink. I love the Too Faced eye shadow too. And the cute strawberry charm is hanging on my iPod now. Thanks Karen! :)

And last but not least, a surprise Christmas present from a really great blogger buddie, Nic. This love package took me by surprise, cause I wasn't expecting anything from her. Although it came late for Christmas, I really love all of the stuffs she gave me. Thanks Nic :)
Look at the cute deer she got me! It's really cute :) and the Betsey Johnson earrings too. OMG, i really love them. She also gave me my first China Glaze nail polish, a cute ice cream necklace, Hershey's key chain, e.l.f. lipgloss and Hello Kitty Jelly Belly. I really feel loved! :) Thanks again Nic!

And Lisa, do you remember that I told you my number one wishlist is a new laptop? Well, I got it now! I'll ditch my 4 years old PC soon and will blog from this new laptop. Meet my new baby :D

That's all for this post. Have a great day everyone!
