Beach Day Out & Seafood

Last week I went to a beach in my hometown. It's not the best beach out there but to me it's the best. I used to go there on holiday with my family and friends when I was little and sometimes I still do. When I went there last week, it was rather gloomy but that didn't hold me back. I haven't gone there for like a year or so and I was so surprised that It has changed a lot, but for me it's still beautiful. Here are some shots I took...

Also on last week, my family celebrated Father's day in a local restaurant. It's one of the famous seafood restaurant in town. I always like seafood but when I was in Jakarta, I didn't get to each much seafood as I always doubt the freshness. So everytime back in my hometown, one of the things I miss is the seafood as we live so near to the sea :D. Okay back to the seafood restaurant, the food porn!

 I don't know if anyone know this but we called it 'Gong-Gong' here and it's really yummy if we dip it with spicy peanut sauce. I googled it and turn out the official name is Strombus canarium. Has anyone tried this?

Swatch: MAC Lipstick - Viva Glam Gaga, Viva Glam V & Way to Love

After swatching my Revlon Colorburst Lipsticks, I decided to swatch my three MAC lipsticks too. I know it's random, but I don't have much lipsticks in the first place :D. Okay, here are the swatches...

Viva Glam Gaga, Viva Glam V, Way to Love

A little story behind the lipsticks, I got the VG Gaga as a birthday present for myself and I did a swatch on my arm at here. As for the VG V, I won it from a giveaway that was hosted by Karen. And the Way to Love is a sweet birthday present from Nic. They are all Lustre finish and very buildable.

I love the fact that all of them look nothing alike. My fave is Way to Love, the shade is lighter than Revlon Colorburst in Blush which is one of my fave lipstick too. Viva Glam V looks darker and it's perfect for a touch up in my opinion. My lips are very pigmented so Viva Glam Gaga doesn't show really well on my lips but I love the sheer look from it. Which one is your fave?

Btw, I've just changed my layout. What do you think? I think I'm going to change my layout more often now, thanks to the new template design. It's really easy and simple :D. I aslo add formspring.me on the sidebar, ask me anything there! :)

Few weeks ago, I got a love package from May. She  told me she was going to send me Lush lip scrub and some Urban Decay stuffs to try, but the package wasn't just some Urban Decay stuffs and the Lush lip scrub, it was full of goodies! Thank you so much for being a total sweetheart, May :)

It smells and tastes exactly like bubblegum! It's really yummy :D. I've used it a few times and I like it, I love how it makes my lips become much smoother.

My eyeshadow palettes collection is growing and growing now. Some people like to collect blush or lipstick, in my case, I like to collect eyeshadow palettes although I don't really wear much eyeshadows in real life, I know I'm weird! It's like May knows how to read my mind to send me those palettes :D.

Swatch: Revlon Colorburst Lipsticks - Soft Nude & Blush

I'm so sorry that I went MIA for a week but I have a good reason for it. I've said that I was going to graduate this month and the graduation ceremony was on last week. My mum and dad were visiting me in Jakarta to attend the ceremony, so I spent pretty much the whole time to accompany them. And after the graduation was over, I had to pack my stuffs and moved all of my stuffs from the place that I stayed in Jakarta to my hometown, so it was a very busy and tiring week. Now, I'm back to my hometown and will stay here for good until I've decided what I'm going to do next :)

Back to the topic, I'm going to share Revlon Colorburst Lipsticks' swatch in Soft Nude and Blush that I got from Angel a while ago (Thanks again, Angel! :)). I know there's a lot of swatches out there for these lipsticks but I still wanna do it :p.

Sorry for the poor quality pics, I'll try to take the pics with a better camera next time. I know there's no point to put the without flash pics cause it doesn't really show the color, but I still put it on just for comparison :D. I love both of the colors. They have very good pigmentation and quite moisturizing too, but the staying power is just okay on me, I need to reapply it in just a couple hours as I constantly eat and drink. I love the packaging too, it looks sleek and the engraved on the lipstick makes it looks expensive. The only lowdown is it melts easily, I found a dent on the side of the lipstick when I try to apply it on my lips, maybe it's because of the weather in Indonesia too, too humid.

Soft Nude is my first nude lipstick, and it looks surprisingly good on me, I always thought nude lipstick will wash me out but it doesn't.

Blush is my new favorite lipstick now, it's MLBB shade. I found myself constantly grab it to wear and put it in my makeup pouch, it's perfect for my everyday looks.

Overall, Revlon Colorburst is a very nice lipstick to have. Go grab it if you can :D

A Piece of Me... in June 2010

I like: that I'm going to officially graduate! It's less than one week from it and I'm very excited yet nervous about it :D.

I don't like: that I'm starting to procrastinate again, there's so much things for me to do yet I'm slacking around, sigh...

I want you to know: that I feel like a bad blogger, I've been neglecting this blog for almost two weeks without any updates. But I'll try to update more often now!

Majolica Majorca - PK311

This is one of my favorite shade now! I love the size of this nail polish, it makes me feel that I can actually finish it :D. The staying power is just okay, when I applied with top coat, it could stay perfectly for a week and without top coat it started to chip in 3 or 4 days. With only one coat I could reach the opacity but I prefer it with two coats.

N.Y.C. Long Wearing Nail Enamel - 124A Cashmere Creme

This is another nail polish that I got from Nic (thanks Nic! :)). Also another nail polish shade that is out of my comfort zone. It's very sheer and to reach this opacity I need to apply 4 coats. The shade is very pretty, it's a pale blue with shimmer hints in it.

I tried to mix and match the two nail polish shades, and I think they look quite good together but I doubt I will wear it this way all the time, hehe...
